The pool skimmer is an innovative and simple
solution to a complex problem which has stumped all of the major
pool cleaning companies for years. Their wish to build a floating
pool skimmer stems from the fact that skimming is the most effective
and obvious method of keeping a pool clean and the water in
a sanitary condition. In every swimming pool there are body
fats, skin particles and other unsanitary materials that swimmers
leave behind. Bacteria and algae thrive in this environment
especially at the water's surface where it is warmest and the
biocidal effect of the pool's chlorine is weakened by sunlight and contaminants.

The pool skimmer makes quick work of materials
such as pollen, seeds, leaves and dust
The materials that fall from
liquid amber trees, flowering gums, jacarandas, deciduous trees etc., are rapidly
removed from the surface of the pool before they sink. The pool
skimmer may be left to float freely or it may be fastened in
one position, i.e. down wind where most floating materials
tend to collect. The pool skimmer floats at the water's surface so pool
water levels will not affect it's operation. As long as there
is enough water for the pool skimmer to float, your swimming
pool will stay cleaner than pools cleaned by other pool cleaning
systems.
